About the Artist

So, why murals?

So why Murals?

In the spring of 2020 I was dreaming of a career in freelance art but could not find a field or medium that I felt suited me...

I had pursued a degree in graphic design and digital marketing, but had always enjoyed the process of hand drawn, lifestyle art. When Covid began and school moved online, I found myself back at my parents' house- very bored and very anxious. So, I deconstructed the photo wall in my old bedroom and (with absolutely no planning or vision) began to paint what would become the mural that started it all!

It wasn't my first mural though! While studying abroad in Thailand in 2018, I had the opportunity to paint two outdoor murals for an orphanage in my community. At the time, painting murals didn't strike me as a career move, especially since the only paint they could find for me to use was oil based. The project took me weeks and was extremely messy, but so rewarding.

It wasn't until I painted my own bedroom that I saw a great opportunity. As it turned out, I absolutely loved painting murals! Of all the art I had ever created, nothing had ever brought me so much joy. My passion for large scale pieces grew quickly from there; I built my portfolio, dropped out of college, and by the end of 2020 I had quit my day job to pursue my own business.

I've always loved color. In 2nd grade I wrote a book titled, "How to Cook a Rainbow." It tells the story of a girl named Betsy, who, upon looking up at the sky, discovers that although it has been raining, there is no rainbow to be found. Betsy then does what any clever girl would do- she cooks her own, and in the process discovers that you do not simply find happiness, you make it, and a little color goes a long way!

I love my job, and as the saying goes, if you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life. From idea to installation, every mural pushes me to create something new and unique for my client; knee deep in color is truly where I shine.

Don't hesitate to add custom art to your home or business. Never underestimate what a little paint can do. Live somewhere you love. Inspire your customers.

Large scale art is truly transformative.

More than just a muralist, I'm an outdoorswoman, a trained vocalist, a devout Christian, and a really cool wife, if I do say so myself. When I'm not designing or painting you can find me skiing, eating Thai food, or tending to my 40+ houseplants.
